The image of this design came from “sway”, from local Kavalan people in Yilan. The look of “sway” is from the idea of crescent; it represents matrilineality and the scenario of a mother holding her baby with arms.The scenario that “sway” is creating, is to infuse the feeling of “mother”, in mother language of Kavalan, “Tina” into the rocking chair as giving it a new life with an emotional way, so when children are riding on it they can enjoy the happiness from it.
As to the seat part for children, it is applied with the unique banana woven cloth which is made with special cross lines from Kavalan culture. Based on the condition of good looking and comfortable sensation, this design can also last the development of traditional woven cloth culture.

MAKING PROCESS
The sample is divided into four steps,and the process about two week.In the process,we used the constructive method of bent wood to fix the seat part and chair body of rocking chair together. It also is visually simple and generating various feelings.
